Born in Regina, I received my Bachelor of Education and Bachelor of Arts from the University of Regina and taught elementary school for several years. Over the past 9 years of semi-retirement, I have turned my attention to painting. Although I am mainly self-taught, I have also been guided by my daughter who has a University degree in art and also by a close friend who is a talented artist. My focus is mainly on contemporary abstracts although I have recently ventured into producing landscapes. I use acrylics and love to use metallic in my work. I also enjoy experimenting with a variety of mediums to create texture and interest. My works have sold at art shows, are displayed at Java Express coffee shop in Regina and I have also produced several private commissions.
